Deconstructed Louis Vuitton hand bag, acrylic paint applied with a tattoo gun, and burned with a pyrography pen

Each painting in this series is made from part of an authentic Louis Vuitton handbag. The artist starts by completely deconstructing the bag and removing all trimming and hardware. After the bag is completely taken apart, it is cut into squares which are then stretched over a wooden frame to create the canvas. Once the canvas is complete, the artist hand cuts a stencil that reflects the outline of the final image, and applies the outline to the LV canvas with white spray paint. After the outline of the image dries on the canvas, the artist uses a tattoo gun and acrylic paint to apply all the different colors. Finally, a pyrography pen (traditionally used in wood burning) is used to create the finer black outlines. Each piece takes roughly 30-40 hours to complete.
